It is not worth a blog writing about Kovai without writin about siruthuli. So let me fix it ..
Siruthuli is a NGO working to reclaim polluted urban water bodies and give them a fresh lease of life. It also has a master with large scale rainwater harvesting, solid waste management, afforestation program
and sewage water treatment.
It is managed by a board of trustees of very eminent people from this area.

Coimbatore Tidel Park
Hello all ..
Posting this blog after a long time :) ..
Coimbatore is back in news with the Tidel park coming up soon ..
The first phase of the construction works for TIDEL Park i.e., the three basement floors and a ground floor will be ready by September-end while the remaining three floors will be ready by December 2009, said Collector P. Umanath, here on Saturday.
Dr. Umanath along with Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry Minister, Pongalur N. Palanisamy and officials from the Mumbai-based construction firm B.E. Billimoria and Company reviewed the pace of construction work on Avanashi Road near the Hope College.
The construction of the 17 lakh sq ft complex at an outlay of Rs. 370 crore began on September 10, 2008.
Later speaking to The Hindu, Dr. Umanath said that three basement floors and a ground floor for usage by Commercial, Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled service firms would be ready by September-end. In respect of the remaining four floors the work would be over by December 2009 as per schedule.
